Question 111197
If you are looking for two consecutive integers, you can say the smaller one is x and the larger one is x + 1.
:
Twice the smaller one would be 2x, and 15 more than that would be 2x + 15, so:
:
{{{x+1=2x+15}}}
{{{x-2x=15-1}}}
{{{-x=14}}}
{{{x=-14}}}, is the smaller integer and
{{{-14+1=-13}}} is the larger one.
:
Check: Twice the smaller integer (-14) is -28, 15 more than that is -28 + 15 = -13.  Check.
