Hi
 jar contains 25 bills: 17 one dollar bills and 8 five dollar bills
grab two bills
P(2 ones) = 17C2/25C2= 136/300 = .4533   |*[tex \large{{n}\choose{x}}] = {{{(n!)/x!(n - x)! = 17!/((2!)(15!)) = 17*8 = 136)}}}
P(I OF EACH) = (17C1)(8C1)/(25C2) = 17*8/300 = 136/300 = .4533

Had the numbers been: 25 16 one dollar bills and 9 five dollar bills:
P(20nes) = 16C2/300 = 120/300  |16C2 = 8*15
P(I OF EACH) = 16*9/300 = 144/300
IN the previous case: numerator in both cases = 136
Wish You the Best in your Studies.
