Depends. Is the *[tex \Large x] in the LHS in the denominator of the fraction or not? Use parentheses when you repost. 1/2(x) or (1/2)x means *[tex \Large \frac{1}{2}x] and 1/(2x) means *[tex \Large \frac{1}{2x}].
