There are dozens of different paths for simplifying this expression. The other tutor has shown one perfectly good path.<br>
I prefer to get rid of the negative exponents immediately; that avoids having fractions within the fraction -- e.g., {{{1/(4x)^2 = 1/16x^2}}} in the numerator of the expression.  So my path to the simplified expression would look something like this:<br>
{{{(4t)^(-2) t^0/(t^6v^(-8))}}}  -->  {{{t^0v^8/((4t)^2(t^6))}}}  -->  {{{(1)v^8/((16t^2)(t^6))}}}  -->  {{{v^8/16t^8}}}<br>
Try simplifying expressions like this in different ways and find the way that you find easiest for you.<br>
