Question 110310
Question:

find the volume of a cylinder with height of 17.5 and 23 feet diameter

Answer:

Volume of a cylinder is given by the fomula,

V = {{{pi * r^2 * h }}}, where, {{{pi= 3.14}}}, 'r' is radius and 'h'  is the height.
[ Or you can say that, volume of any solid = base area * height]

Here given that,

Height = 17.5 ft.

Diameter = 23 feet

So, radius = {{{ 23/2}}} feet

That is , radius = 11.5 ft

So volume, {{{ V = (3.14) * (11.5^2) * (17.5)}}}

That is, V = = 7627.1375 cubic feet

OR V = 7627.14 cubic feet( correct to two decimal places..)
