Question 1174905

In a 30-60-90 triangle the longer leg has length of 7 what is the length of the hypotenuse?
<pre>I agree with Tutor @IKLEYN 100%. Some of the people in this forum are nothing but quasi-tutors, while others feel they know everything but actually know NOTHING at all.
How can this person not know that you can use the longer leg of a 30-60-90 triangle, by multiplying the longer leg by 2 and by {{{sqrt(3)/3{}}} to get the length of the hypotenuse, or: {{{highlight_green(matrix(1,4, 2(7)(sqrt(3)/3), "=", 8.083, units))}}}?
Then again, he's one of those who doesn't know much about mathematics!
If one doesn't know that, he/she could also SIMPLY do the following: {{{matrix(1,7, sin (60^o), "=", 7/H, "____", H, "=", 7/sin (60^o)))}}}, with H being the length of the hypotenuse.
It's as SIMPLE as that!!
