Question 1171622
.
A dolphin jumps from the water at an initial velocity. The equation h=-16t^2+80t models
the dolphin’s height at any given time, t. What is the maximum height the dolphin jumps?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I made quick calculations on the problem.
They showed me that the time jumping in the air ABOVE the water surface is 5 seconds;
the time to reach the maximum height is 2.5 seconds and the maximum height is 100 feet.
These results show that the input data is ABSOLUTELY UNREALISTIC --- a dolphin is not a bird --- it is totally different creation.
THEREFORE, the posed problem is a FAKE and has no right to exist.
