I just answered this one a few minutes ago.

Hint for part a): *[tex \Large \forall a\ \in\ \mathbb{R}\ |\ a\,\neq\,0, a^0\ =\ 1] (there is controversy about whether a = 0 should not be excluded, but the point is moot in this instance because your exponential base is 2.

b)

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \frac{N(2)\,-\,N(1)}{2\,-\,1}]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \frac{N(3)\,-\,N(2)}{3\,-\,2}]

c) Just slightly north of 16 and a half.
