(x + y)/3 = 50
(x - y)/5 = 2
Cross multiply

x + y = 150
x - y = 10

Add both together

2x = 160
x = 80
Substitute into x + y = 150
80 + y = 150
y = 150 - 80
y = 70
x = 80 and y = 70
