The question of which technique is best for solving quadratic equations can't be answered.  In general, the best way to solve problems involving quadratic equations is to use a graphing calculator, because you can answer many different questions about the function easily.<br>
Of course, using a graphing calculator doesn't teach you anything about algebraic methods, or give you practice in using algebraic methods....
