In ANY problem like this, it is impossible to know the "right" answer.<br>
You could put any numbers next and it would be a valid sequence.<br>
Unless a problem like this says something about what kind of sequence it is, finding "the" solution is purely a matter of guessing.<br>
So any problem like this is not a valid question.<br>
If you can see a logical pattern in the given numbers, then it is possible to GUESS what the answer is.  But it is impossible to know if that answer is "right".<br>
In this example, a probable solution can be found by rewriting some of the fractions as equivalent fractions:<br>
7/8, 6/9, 5/10, 4/11, 3/12, ...<br>
Then continuing the pattern gives us<br>
7/8, 6/9, 5/10, 4/11, 3/12, 2/13, 1/14<br>
Still, despite the clear pattern, we can't KNOW that this is the answer....
