Question 1142667
There was a question on a certification test that read:
"Which graph best represents this system of equations?"

x + y = 10
x - y = 4

My answer was (x =7, y = 3)
When I saw the different linear graphs, I did not know which one to select because only the coordinate points (7,3) satisfy the equation. Each line of the graph went through (7,3), but in different directions. How do I find other coordinate points that is a solution to this equation?
---
There are no other points that satisfy the 2 equations.
--------------
There are an infinite # of lines that go thru the point (7,3).
The slope of x + y = 10 is -1.
The slope of x - y = 4 is +1.
You can use that info, if needed.
