Question 1135930

Find the inverse:

{{{f(x)= 2 + 1 /( -x-3)}}}->I guess you have this

since
{{{f(x)= y}}},  we have

{{{y= 2 + 1 /( -x-3)}}}.........swap {{{x}}} and {{{y}}}

{{{x= 2 + 1 /( -y-3)}}}.......solve for {{{y}}}

{{{x-2=  1 /( -y-3)}}}

{{{ -y-3=  1 /(x-2)}}}

{{{ -y=  1 /(x-2)+3}}}.............both sides multiply by {{{-1}}}

{{{ y=  -1 /(x-2)-3}}}

your inverse is: {{{f^-1(x)= -1 /(x-2)-3}}}

{{{ graph( 600, 600, -10, 10, -10, 10, 2 + 1 /( -x-3),-1 /(x-2)-3) }}}
