What effect does replacing x with x + 6 have on the graph for the function  f(x)?

f(x) = |x + 3| - 2

<pre>Yes, you're correct! You DON'T HAVE to graph it as one person suggests. And, the person graphed it and it's WRONG! What sense did that make? 
When x is replaced with x + 6, the graph is MOVED another 6 units to the LEFT, or f(x) = |x + 3| - 2 becomes: g(x) = |x <b>+ 6</b> + 3| - 2.
