Question 1133643

If I were to solve the Elimination method of: 9x+10y=14 7x+5y=-3, what would the answer be for x?
<pre>9x + 10y = 14 ------- eq (i)
7x + 5y = - 3 ------- eq (ii)
Multiplying eq (i) by 1, as the other person suggests, makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!
You just need to MULTIPLY eq (ii) by - 2 to get eq (iii).
Then, add eqs (iii) & (i) to ELIMINATE y and continue to solve for x.
That's ALL!
