Question 15056
What you describe is called a "cube root": {{{ root(3,64)}}}. It means you are asking the question, "What number would you raise to the third power in order to get 64?" Before doing cube roots, you should make a list of what we call the perfect cubes:

{{{1^3=1}}}
{{{2^3=8}}}
{{{3^3=27}}}
{{{4^3=64}}}
{{{5^3=125}}}

Be very familiar with these numbers, and you will be able to do cube roots. Now to answer the question, "What number raised to the third power would give you 64?" Answer is of course 4.

{{{ root(3,64) = 4}}}
