Question 1123440
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Write your original function definition in <u>pencil</u>, namely

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ f(x)\ =\ |x|\ +\ 20]

For problem (a), erase the *[tex \Large x] and write 0 in its place. Then do the indicated arithmetic.

Do the same thing for all of the other problems, replacing the *[tex \Large x] with the value inside the parentheses for that particular problem, simplifying the expression as much as possible in each case.

By the way, if you need to create absolute value bars in the future, find the "backslash" key, generally right above the "Enter" key on your keyboard. Hold "Shift" and press the "backslash" to get the "pipe" symbol: |
