Question 1119001
I can't imagine what it would be about this problem that you need help with, unless you don't understand the meaning of the data that is presented to you.
The meaning of the given information is
P(5) = 0.2
P(6) = 0.1
P(7) = 0.1
P(8) = 0.2
P(9) = 0.4
Notice that the sum of the probabilities is 1, as it must be, because 5 through 9 are the only values x can have.
Then the number you are supposed to find is P(x greater than 6); that means x is 7, 8, or 9. Surely you know how to evaluate something like P(7 OR 8 OR 9)....
If you still don't understand, re-post the problem saying what it is about the problem that you don't understand.
