Question 1114666
 How do I solve the following formula with the provided information. It appears there may be a missing factor...
4.9t^2+vot=s. An object falls from 2,547 meters. How many seconds does it take for it to hit the ground? Don't I need to know what the initial velocity is in order to accurately determine this answer???
----
Formula:: height = 4.9t^2 + vo*t
-----
If you simply drop the object the initial velocity is zero.
4.9t^2 = 2547
t = sqrt(518.8) seconds = 22.8 seconds
