Find the three consecutive even numbers such that the sum of the first and the third is twice the second

2,4,6  meet the requirement….  but so do any three consecutive even numbers.

Sum of 1st and 3rd is
x + (x+4)  = 2x+4 
and
2x+4 = 2(x+2)      ( x+2 is the middle number )
