Question 1102248
The way I read it, " on time if the town was 3 mi
further away " means the same " on time " for the {{{ k }}} miles away
----------------------------
1 hr early means she was going too fast
In 1 hr, she would have traveled {{{ ( k/h )*1 }}} mi
so, her rate needs to be:
{{{ ( k - k/h ) /  h  }}}
Her time for a distance of {{{ k + 3 }}} mi would be
{{{ t = (( k + 3 )) / ((( k - k/h ) / ( h  ))) }}}
{{{ t = ((( k + 3 )*h)) / (( k - k/h )) }}}
------------------------------------
Definitely get another opinion on this.
I'm not absolutely sure.
