Question 14278
for something like {{{y<-x^2+3x-8}}} we have to find the roots first, this being {{{-x^2+3x-8=0}}}. We can just re-arrange this as {{{x^2-3x+8=0}}}. Solve that one.


Remember that when x^2 is +ve --> shape looks like a "u"
and that when x^2 is -ve --> shape looks like a "n"


So, once you have found the 2 roots, make sure your graph is n-shaped through those 2 points.


Look at th eQ now..where is y less than... it is less than to the left of the left root and to the right of the right root.
