If that is true, the denominator must not be zero:
x^2-4x-5=0
(x-5)(x+1)=0
x=5 or x=-1
These are the values of x that make the denominator zero
so they are excluded from the Domain.

Domain is All Real Numbers except x= -1 and x=5.
