Question 97067
let the three points be A(4,3) , B(2,0) , C(-18,-12)

The three points will lie on the same line if the slope of the line AB is same as that of BC

Using the formula to find the slope of the line between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) = {{{(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)}}}

Slope of AB = {{{(3-0)/(4-2)}}} = 3/2
Slope pf BC = {{{(0-(-12))/(2-(-18))}}} = 12/20 =3/5

Since the slopes are not equal , they do not lie on the same line.
