Question 1091524
f(x)= sqrt(x)
=x^1/2
=1/2x^1/2-2/2
=1/2×^-1/2
=1/ 2sqrt(x)
My question is why when I turn the exponent into a square root do I lose the negative ? Shouldnt the answer be 1/ 2sqrt(-x)?
Thanks
================
The answer is, no, it's not sqrt(-x).
It's =1/(2sqrt(x))
