Question 1088968

sqrt(4x-3 2+sqrt(2x-5=> this is not good way to post a problem

I guess, you have something like this:

{{{sqrt(4x-3)= 2+sqrt(2x-5)}}}...if yes, than square both sides

{{{(sqrt(4x-3))^2= (2+sqrt(2x-5))^2}}}

{{{4x-3= 4+4sqrt(2x-5)+(sqrt(2x-5))^2}}}

{{{4x-3= 4+4sqrt(2x-5)+2x-5}}}

{{{4x-2x+5-4-3= 4sqrt(2x-5)}}}

{{{2x-2= 4sqrt(2x-5)}}}

{{{cross(2)(x-1)= cross(4)2sqrt(2x-5)}}}

{{{(x-1)= 2sqrt(2x-5)}}}....square both sides

{{{(x-1)^2= (2sqrt(2x-5))^2}}}

{{{x^2-2x+1 = 4(2x-5)}}}

{{{x^2-2x+1 = 8x-20}}}

{{{x^2-2x+1-8x+20=0}}}

{{{x^2-10x+21=0}}}....factor

{{{x^2-7x-3x+21=0}}}

{{{(x^2-7x)-(3x-21)=0}}}

{{{x(x-7)-3(x-7)=0}}}

{{{(x-3)(x-7)=0}}}

solutions:
{{{x=3}}} or {{{x=7}}}
