Question 1087297
(x-1)(x-3) are two factors. The third can't be complex, because those come in pairs. Therefore, one of the two roots is repeated (a "bounce" on the graph).
(x-1)^2(x-3)=(x^2-2x+1)(x-3)=x^3-5x^2+7x-3
(x-1)(x-3)^2=(x^2-6x+9)(x-1)=x^3-7x^2+3x-9
