Use the slope formula to show that the opposite
sides have the same slope and thus are parallel.
That will prove that the figure is a parallelogram.

To find the area,
1. Find the base by counting the number of units
   from (-3,-1) to (4,-1)
2. Find the height by counting the number of units
from the bottom side to the top side.
3. Multiply the base times the height.
