Question 521871
let the first number be - x
-----------------------------------------
let the second number be - x+7
-----------------------------------------
the sum of the 2 numbers is - 5(x+(x+7))
-----------------------------------------
required equation -

     x+(x+7) = 5*(x-(x+7)
       x+x+7 = 5*(x-x+7)
        2x+7 = 5x-5x+35
    2x+5x-5x = 35-7
       7x-5x = 28
          2x = 28
           x = 28/2
           x = 14

------------------------------------------
So, the first number  =  x  = 14
    the second number = x+7 = 14+7
                            = 21
==========================================
Therefore, the numbers are 7 and 21
