Question 1078497

Please help me solve this equation

Let f(x) = 2x^2 − 8x − 7.
(a) Write the quadratic in vertex form (that is y = a(x − h)^2 + k for some constants a, h, and k).
(b) Calculate the roots of the function f.
(c) Sketch the graph of f, showing all important features. (Vertex, roots, y intercept.)
(d) Solve f(x) > 0.

FYI The other person's answers are WRONG, NONSENSICAL, and should be IGNORED.
The correct answer for a) is: {{{highlight_green(f(x) = 2(x - 2)^2 - 15))}}}
You have to try to figure out the rest on your own, but whatever you do, IGNORE the other person's RIDICULOUS answers.
