Question 94023
f(x)= 2x^2 + 5x -4
That Theorem says if P/q is a rational root of f(x) "q" is a divisor of -4 and
"p" is a divisor of 2.
------------
q candidates: +-1, +-2, +-4
p candidates: +-1, +-2
-------------------
I checked the quadratic formula.
There are no rational roots for this function.
--------------
x = [-5+-sqrt(25-4*2*-4)]/4
x = [-5+-sqrt(57)]/4
None of these roots is rational.
