Question 1066045
Find the y-coordinate
{{{ (-2)^2 + (-y)^2 = 6^2 }}}
{{{ (-y)^2 = 36 - 4 }}}
{{{ y^2 = 32 }}}
{{{ y = 4*sqrt(2)  }}}
------------------------
I'm a little confused by the {{{ -y }}}. Maybe
they are saying that the y-coordinate is
negative. If so:
{{{ tan( theta ) = (-4*sqrt(2) ) / (-2) }}}
{{{ tan( theta ) = 2*sqrt(2) }}}
--------------------------
If {{{ y }}} can be either positive or
negative, then {{{ tan( theta ) }}} can be
either positive or negative.
