Question 1065498

It's just a matter of knowing what the word "complementary" means.

When two angles are 'complementary' that means that when you add them
you get 90°.

So when you add m∠1 and m∠2 you get 90°.

m∠1 + m∠2 = 90°

So we substitute 2x-10 for m∠1 and 8x+10 for m∠2, and we get:

2x-10 + 8x+10 = 90

Solve that for x. Then substitute what you get in 2x-10 and that will
give you m∠1, and substitute what you get in 8x+10 and that will
give you m∠2.

I'll bet you can do that all by yourself!
