Question 1065109
Hi there,

I'm having trouble understanding how to go about solving this question; after looking through various examples it still doesn't seem to make any sense to me, so some help would be much appreciated!

Find all the solutions between -2pi and 2pi of the equation:
sin(theta)=1/sqrt(2)
Give all of your answers as exact values in radians

Thank you very much!
<pre>{{{sin (theta) = 1/sqrt(2)}}}
{{{sin (theta) = 1/sqrt(2) * sqrt(2)/sqrt(2)}}} ------ RATIONALIZING denominator
{{{sin (theta) = sqrt(2)/2}}}, which is: {{{highlight_green(matrix(2,5,
3pi/4, in, the, 2^(nd), quadrant,
pi/4, in, the, 1^(st), quadrant))}}}
sin is positive (+), so the angles are in the 1st and 2nd quadrants only!
