Question 93105
Solve by completing the square.
x^2 - 6x - 40 = 0
x^2-6x+? = 40+?
x^2+6x+[(1/2)6]^2 = 40 + [(1/2)6]^2
x^2+6x+9 = 40+9
(x+3)^2 = 49
x+3 = 7 or x+3 = -7
x = 4 or x = -10
