Question 1057311
.
So my question is:
How do we get from
1/x^2 = 1 or 1/x^2 = 9
to
x^2 = 1 or x^2 = 1/9
?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<pre>
If {{{1/x^2}}} = 1, then multiply both sides by {{{x^2}}}, and you will get 1 = {{{x^2}}}, which is the same as {{{x^2}}} = 1.
If {{{1/x^2}}} = 9, then multiply both sides by {{{x^2}}}, and you will get 1 = {{{9x^2}}}, which is the same as {{{9x^2}}} = 1.
Now divide both sides of the last equation by 9, and you will get {{{x^2}}} = {{{1/9}}}.
