Hello. Pretty cool problem we have here. First of all we're going to try and eliminate one of the variables. This means that we want one of the variables to cancel out the other variable, so we can solve the equation. For the following we'll multiply x+2y=3 by -3, so to wipe out the x variable:

3x + 6y = 14
-3(x + 2y = 3)

Gives us:

3x + 6y = 14
-3x - 6y = 3

Gives us:

0 + 0 = 17

In this case, both of our variables have been eliminated. Hence, the two equations don't intersect, which means they're most likely parallel to each other.
