Question 1055401
Let {{{ d }}} = distance from Chicago to NYC in miles
Let {{{ t }}} = time in hrs for NYC to Chicago
{{{ t + 2.5 }}} = time in hrs for Chicago to NYC
-------------------------------------------------
Equation for NYC to Chicago:
(1) {{{ d = 65t }}}
Equation for Chicago to NYC:
(2) {{{ d = 85*( t + 2.5 ) }}}
----------------------------
This problem makes no sense as stated. It says that
the trip that was made at the higher speed took
longer than the trip made at the slower speed!!!!!!!
----------------
I wrote down the equations, but they will give you nonsense.
I think the problem is either mistyped to begin with, or
down the line.
