Question 1053907
.
A person riding a motorcycle leaves an hour after a person riding a bicycle. Both travel the same road.
If the person riding the bicycle is traveling at 10 miles per hour and the person riding the motorcycle is traveling
at 50 miles per hours, how long will it take the motorcycle to overtake the bicycle?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
t = {{{10/(50-10)}}} = {{{10/40}}} = {{{1/4}}} of an hour = 15 minutes.
10 = 10 miles is the distance between them when the motorcycle starts moving.
50-10 = 40 mph is their relative speed.
Must be solved momentarily.
