Question 1051931
Please help me with this factoring question 20s^2-8s=4s( ) I know that 4s is a factor of both 20s^2-8s and that 4s is the GCF but I don't know how to find the missing factors. And I don't know what to multiply by 4s to get 20s^2-8s=4s.
<pre>{{{20s^2 - 8s}}}
The GCF, as you stated, is 4s
Now, all you need to do is: Divide {{{20s^2}}} by 4s, and {{{- 8s}}} by 4s
{{{20s^2/(4s) = 5s}}}, and {{{(- 8s)/(4s) = - 2}}}. Putting the GCF and quotients together gives: {{{highlight_green(4s(5s - 2))}}}
