Question 1049243
What is the measure of each angle if second angle is three times the measure of the first angle. The third angle is four times the measure of the second angle. What is the measure of each angle.
----
I assume the three angles are in the same triangle::
f + s + t = 180 degrees
s = 3f
t = 4s
------
Substitute and solve for "s"::
(1/3)s + s + 4s = 180
-------
s + 3s + 12s = 540
16s = 540
s = 33.75 degrees (2nd angle)
f = (1/3)(33.75) = 11.25 degrees (first angle)
t = 4s = 4*33.75 = 135 degrees
