Question 1046915
For a rational expression like this, we multiply everything by the lowest common denominator...we get
{{{2/((x-4)(x-2))=1/(x-4) + 2/(x-2)}}}
which leads to (after multiplying by (x-4)(x-2))
{{{ 2 = (x-2) + 2(x-4)}}}
{{{ 2 = x - 2 + 2x - 8}}}
{{{ 2 = 3x - 10}}}
{{{12 = 3x}}}
{{{x = 4}}}
Notice that x = 4 is not allowed...thus there is NO SOLUTION.
