Question 1046903
Please help me solve this inequality:

2.3+2(x+5) > x+5(x+1)+1

What I did so far..
2.3+2x+10 > x+5x+5+1 (distributed)
12.3+2x > 6x+6 (combined like terms)
       -2x    -2x (subtracted 2x from both sides)
       12.3 > 4x+6
       -6           -6 (subtracted 6 from both sides)
        6.3 > 4x

what now?
<pre>You did it correctly! Good job!
Let's continue from where you got stuck
6.3 > 4x ======> {{{6.3/4 > x}}} ======> {{{1.575 > x}}}, which means that: {{{highlight_green(x < 1.575)}}}, since switching sides REVERSES the inequality sign.
PAY NO ATTENTION to what the other person is advising! Again, good job!
