Question 90520
You are being asked to find the amounts of each yogurt blend to get 60 pounds of yogurt that is 1% fat.

Let x = the amount of 3% yogurt and 60-x = the amount of nonfat yogurt ; you can set then set up your table.

           Amount * Percent = Amount of Yogurt
3% yogurt  (x     *    .03     =   .03x)
Nonfat     ((60-x)  *     0      =   0(60-x))
1% yogurt  (60    *    .01     =   .01(60))

Solve the equation
    {{{.03x+0(60-x) = .01(60)}}}
    {{{.03x = .6}}}
    {{{x = 20}}}

So, you need 20 lbs of 3% yogurt and 40 lbs of nonfat to get 60 lbs of 1% fat yogurt.
Good Luck!
