Question 1038621
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

If B is the median, then two of the others must be older and two must be younger. A is one of the older because she is the oldest of the 5, and C is older because that fact is given. That means that E is second to the youngest because D is youngest.

So we have them in order of age from youngest to oldest:

D E B C A

Since the sum of their ages is 110 and C is the mean age, C is 110 divided by 5, or 22.

Since D is 19 and they are all different ages, E and B must be 20 and 21 respectively.

The sum of the ages of D, E, B, and C is 82. 110 minus 82 is 28.  Therefore:

D is 19
E is 20
B is 21
C is 22
A is 28
