Question 89486
 Is the following trinomial a perfect square? Please explain your answer.
	x2 + 10x + 25
Yes.
If you were to factor it:
(x___)(x___) Fill the blanks with two integers that multiply to get 25, but add to get 10.
(x+5)(x+5)
{{{(x+5)^2}}}
The form of perfect square trinomials are:
{{{x^2+2xy+y^2=(x+y)^2}}}
and
{{{x^2-2xy+y^2=(x-y)^2}}}
If you want to you can put your trinomial into that form:
{{{x^2+2(x)(5)+5^2=(x+5)^2}}}
Happy Calculating!!!!
