Question 1035460
.
Please help me solve this :

Determine the product of first three terms of a geometric progression if b2=6

Thanks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<pre>
Let the first term be {{{b[1]}}}.
Then the second term {{{b[2]}}} = {{{r*b[1]}}} and the third tem {{{b[3]}}} = {{{r*b[2]}}},  where {{{r}} is the common ratio of the progression.
Take the product {{{b[1]*b[2]*b[3]}}} and re-group:
{{{b[1]*b[2]*b[3]}}} = {{{b[1]}}}.{{{r*b[1]}}}.{{{r^2*b[1]}}} = {{{r^3*b[1]^3}}} = {{{(r*b[1])^3}}} = {{{b[2]^3}}} = {{{6^3}}} = 216.
