Question 1030797
Hi there,
y = -3x + 5
Lines that are parallel have
the same gradient (slope)
(m1 = m2)
Using the gradient -3
from the line at the top.
Using the line equation:-
y - b = m(x - a)
m = -3
(-2,-1) = (a,b)
y -(-1) = -3(x - (-2))
y + 1 = -3(x + 2)
y + 1 = -3x - 6
y = -3x - 6 - 1
y = -3x - 7.
This is the equation.
Hope this helps:-)
