Question 1024917
Find average rate of change over interval [15,16], given f(x)=log(base2)x+1
i was given the formula F(b)-F(a)/b-a
and i did [(log(base2)(16)+1)-log(base2)(15)+1)]/[16-15]
now should i do (4+1)-(3.9+1) which will equal 0.1?Thank you for your time in advance
---------------
If you mean
{{{f(x)=log(2,x)+1}}} (it appears so):
--> {{{(4 + 1) - (log(2,15) + 1)}}}
=~ 5 - (3.9+1)
=~ 0.1
