Question 1024390
A ball is thrown toward from a height of 15ft. With an inital upward velocity of 5ft/s. Use the forumula h(t)=-16t^2+vt+s to find out how long it will take for the ball to hit the ground.
---------
I think you mean thrown upward.
h(t)=-16t^2+vt+s
h(t)=-16t^2 + 5t + 15
At impact, h(t) = 0
-16t^2 + 5t + 15 = 0
Solve for t, ignore the negative solution.
